Corporate Cost Reduction

In today’s economy companies must make the most of profits to stay afloat and viable. Boosting sales, performance and company morale can be a monumental task in today’s fearful economic structure. People are constantly worried and stressed about personal finances, interest rates and are often distracted by the thought of possible company cutbacks that may cost them their jobs.

While some companies take this ‘cutback’ strategy, it usually causes more loss overall. The main problem with this approach is that, by itself is not sustainable for the long term.  Once cutbacks are made the employees who remain are less productive, overloaded, stressed and get sick more often, missing additional work. This leaves the company shorthanded. Additionally, sick employees drive up the employer’s health insurance costs. The added costs of unemployment benefits from the layoffs can also deplete the company’s resources very quickly.

Whether your bottom line is shrinking due to less productivity or mounting costs from layoffs, unemployment or insurance rates, the problem remains the same; your company is losing money and precious ground in the marketplace.

A Dallas CEO and researcher, has developed techniques that may be the best business tool of the upcoming century for small business as well as the corporate environment. The technology takes a radically different approach to risk management and productivity enhancement. It addresses the problem at the level of the employee. That is the beginning and ending of every company.

According to Richards, also a private consultant for many elite corporate VIPs “The success or failure of any company comes down to the performance of the people in it. No matter how great the demand for your product and how amazing your widget…, tired, grumpy employees with brain fog and hormone imbalance, who constantly miss work and come in late, negatively impact a company’s bottom line in no time flat.”  She goes on to say that “unless you fix the real problem, all the motivation and business strategy in the world is useless”.

Some of the programs require no additional spending on the part of the employer or employees. While some of the programs involve a small investment, it pays big dividends in multiple areas. Immediate results can be seen in performance enhancement and productivity, reduction in health insurance, disability, workman’s comp and unemployment costs, and improvement in employee loyalty and morale, causing employees to want to work harder for the company. Companies like Southwest Airlines claim to remain a low-fare airline, yet their employee productivity ranks as some of the highest in the industry due to an employee focused strategy.

Originally, the technology behind the programs was developed for the healthcare industry as a drug-free alternative to manage long-term pain. It was perfected in clinical trials for the most difficult medical cases of long-term pain and chronic illness. These cases were otherwise unaffected by all other medical technology and considered impossible to help. These patients were expected to be on multiple medications and requiring medical treatment weekly or bi-weekly for the remainder of their lives.

As an unintended consequence, the pain management programs not only managed the pain issues, causing a significant or total reduction in medication use, but the subjects were so energized that they felt years younger, slept soundly, experienced sharp mental focus and clarity, and had an overwhelming feeling of well-being. Their moods changed, resulting in hormonal, blood pressure, triglyceride and cholesterol improvements, without the use of medications.

The new realization of the beneficial side effects of the pain therapy suggested that the treatment would be of great benefit to corporate America needing an economic boost. After all, if it worked on the most severe health cases what could it do for a struggling organization or a stagnant small company?

Richards decided to implement an employee focused program for revitalization that includes the much-needed, physical optimization. She states that” unless a corporate building program can also effect change at the physical level, teaching motivational and performance skills is inadequate because the employees don’t have the stamina, mental clarity and energy to maintain the change. You must deal with the additional issues of physical and mental stamina, and emotional strength and stability to affect long-term sustainable change.”

Given some peace of mind, a boost of energy and restful sound sleep, most employees are pleased to have a job and are willing to work a bit harder and longer. When they are happy, mentally clear and focused they can and want to give 100%.

Some of the recent patients studied in the trials suffered for more than twenty years with their untreatable ailments, nearly bedridden. Now they report working full time, 40-60 hours a week standing on their feet joyful and energized. Their employers are thrilled with their improved mood, stamina and performance. There are similar reports from those who have now remained symptom and pain free without medication for over five years.

Once thought a program for the chronically ill, this performance-enhancement program may be the best business recovery tool to infuse “new life” into our ailing companies and overall economy.
